BRUCE’S BLOG: Drunk Drivers BEWARE!

DUI DriverGovernor Wolf recently signed legislation, SB 290 which makes the ignition interlock program mandatory for first-time DUI offenders with high blood alcohol levels. Therefore, defendants who are convicted of a DUI with a high blood alcohol level will be required to have an ignition interlock installed in their vehicle before it can be driven. Ignition interlock requires the driver to breath into a tube which will not allow the car to start if an elevated blood alcohol level is detected.
