Attorneys Bruce S. Zero and James F. Mundy have been named “Pennsylvania Super Lawyers” for 2011, joining the top 5 percent of all trial attorneys in the Commonwealth.
The “Super Lawyer” list, which is published annually by Philadelphia Magazine, is based on polling of 36,000 lawyers throughout Pennsylvania, independent research, interviews with law firms and evaluation of nominees by a blue-ribbon panel.
Zero, a partner in the Scranton-based Powell Law firm, has been named a PA Super Lawyer every year since 2007. Mundy has been designated a PA Super Lawyer every year since the program began.
A graduate of Penn State and Duquesne Law School, Zero is a member of the Lackawanna and Pennsylvania Bar Associations; past member of the Board of Governors of the Pennsylvania Association for Justice; past president of the Northeastern Pennsylvania Trial Lawyers Association; and a member of the American Association for Justice. Board-certified as a civil trial specialist by the National Board of Trial Advocacy, he practices in the areas of personal injury, product liability and worker’s compensation.
A graduate of King’s College and Catholic University Law School, Mundy is past president of the Pennsylvania Bar Association, Pennsylvania Trial Lawyers Association and Philadelphia Trial Lawyers Association. He is also past chairman of the Pennsylvania Disciplinary Board, which oversees the legal profession in the Commonwealth.
He is a member of the Association of Trial Lawyers of America and the American Bar Association. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Trial Lawyers, and a Fellow of both the International Academy of Trial Lawyers and the American College of Trial Lawyers. He has received the highest rating for legal ability and ethics by Martindale-Hubbell. Mundy practices in the areas of medical malpractice, wrongful death, product liability, drugs and medical devices.
