The safest time to drive is during early morning hours. It should therefore be no surprise that rush hour between 5:00 and 6:00 p.m. is the deadliest time of day to drive. Saturday is the most dangerous day of the week, followed by Friday, then Sunday. June, July and August are the deadliest months of the year, mostly because of the increase in motor vehicle use related to summer travel and vacations.
